This is such a fun hole-in-the-wall place. It's my friend's go-to in Hudson Bend and I'm sure I'd be there more often if I lived there.

Decent little dive spot. Its got the old bar style and look. No fancy cocktails or shots here! I figure you'd get kicked out just for asking. People are friendly enough but it is a location that has allot of regulars from what I can tell. To some that can be good or bad

All good, great place for sports or casual drink in the hood. It's still writing bs now to meet the minimal character count requirement.

I've been here and had a great time. There was a bachelorette party there from out of town. Great jukebox, bartender was friendly, great drink menu! Ashley was super sweet and we even got to meet the owner, very cool bar.

Hudson Tavern aka "Cheers" of Lake Travis. This wonderfully shady little dive is stuck between a couple of restaurants on your way to Lake Travis - what a prime location! Chatty locals and everyone seems cool - they even have a die-hard who actually drives his riding mower to the bar! Introduce yourself to Dewey but don't play him pool! Ordered grub from a place next door, acted like a local for a min and off to the lake I went. Friendly people, down-to-earth staff, and did I mention location??!! Hudson Tavern is my secret Stay-cation hideaway!

I have always liked this bar. Been going here since it was frogs pool hall. For everyone saying that it smells like smoke. Also maybe you should google before coming because it does allow smokers. It actually doesn't bother if you don't sit right next to smoker. Also they don't over serve their drinks but if someone came from another bar which some do how would they know if they have too much. Also the machines are actually legal for the person that wrote a review saying they're not. Get your facts straight before saying something that. Anyways the bartenders are for the most part people that are from or have lived in the area and most people are regulars. It's a hold in the wall which people actually like go figure. Anyway I have always loved this place and have been coming here along time :) rant/ review over lol

Formerly Frog's Pool Hall (that I used to frequent), Hudson Tavern was completely gutted and renovated over a year ago. Then new look is definitely less dive and a bit more "tavern." Lots of stained wood, and a nice built-out bar. Drink specials daily and a great place for special events, especially for the limited Lake Travis area. The proprietor goes all out during holidays (e.g., costume contests), large sporting events (e.g., MMA) by doing contests, giveaways, having raffles, handing out swag, etc. and offering comp grilled dogs and burgs and chips. It's a local hang out with people from all walks of life. You never really know what to expect, except it's always an interesting time. Cheers! Billiards, darts, karaoke, tons of video poker machines, and real life Texas Hold 'em each week. Full bar. No kitchen, but can order from restaurants in same strip mall. Smoking permitted. Outside covered patio seating available.
